After seeing a 1955 Good Housekeeping article about How to be a Good Wife, I knew I wanted to make something that asked the viewer to reflect on what has or hasn't changed.
The resulting form is an artist book that consists of a phasebox containing a series of five modifed gate-fold booklets. Through repeated folding and unfolding, each booklet juxtaposes an image from a 1950s magazine with a modern image of a similar scenario and features quotes from the original article.
